Fellow riders, please share both these links on your social networks and on any other motorcycle forum to which you belong. "We" have to be the ones to take action to have the law changed. Cagers aren't going to do it for us... that is for sure.
Please help us legalize lane splitting/lane sharing in Texas. You do not have to live in Texas... just sign this petition and share on other forums.

I'm also a big proponent of lane splitting on highways, lane filtering at stop signs and stop lights... basically giving motorcyclists more avenues for safety and comfort. However, this guy, is abusing this privilege big time. He is obviously skilled and feels competent... but his time will come.
You know... I've watched this video a couple of times and skipped back to the part where the car stops in the middle of the road and the guy gets out. I don't understand why he didn't just ride around the car when the guy started getting out. He could have easily ridden on the left of the car...
What is your rear preload set to? If the suspension is too soft it will come up and hit your license plate. You could try increasing it and see if that helps. It is set to 3 by default. You could move it to 4 and see if that helps. You really want to set the preload based on your weight. I...
No... didn't do it on a bike. But I did drag the family on two road trips (in a car) to Canada. The first time we went straight north from Dallas, TX to Winnipeg and then to Saskatoon and finally to Calgary. We stopped at each point along the way and visited my wife's family (She's Canadian)...
Beautiful pics! What an awesome trip! The furtherest north I've been is Edmonton, AB. I hope your rear survived. I would love to do a long trip, but I would need to replace the stock seat. I can't imagine going that long with my current seat and windshield.
Has anyone here tried using fz8 mirrors or the naked xjs mirrors that mount on the handle bars? These seem like the best option for our bikes. I personally do not like the stationary mirrors having ridden a v-star before. I loved being able to turn my bars slightly left at a stop light so I...
I bought my bike used and it didn't come with the toolkit. So I do the same thing. I use a Mossberg branded shotgun lock (it came with my shotgun) and it works wonderfully well. I just wrap it around the frame under the passenger seat and loop it through the "D" on the chin strap. While this...
And yes... sure enough you are correct! A little googling found this on the Ontario Ministry of Transportation website:
Which vehicles are NOT allowed to use HOV lanes?
A vehicle with only the driver
Motorcycles with only the driver
Commercial trucks greater than 6.5 metres in length...
Hov
Actually, we have both the managed HOV lanes (concrete barrier on both sides) and the non-manage HOV lanes, with double white lines. I can see what you're saying regarding the non-managed lanes. They did put these plastic pylons every 2 ft on the double white on one of our freeways to...
Hi and welcome. I'm a new member myself (Dallas, TX). My wife is from your neck of the woods. She grew up in Cochrane, AB. I've been to Banff a few times, but always in a car. I can only imagine how fun those twisty roads through the Canadian Rockies would be in the summer.
I finally used the HOV lane (using my motorcycle) on I-35 Southbound while leaving downtown Dallas during rush hour. I only go to downtown when I have to meet up with colleagues for a meeting, but this time I decided to take ride my FZ6R. It was so nice to be able to fly past the slow moving...
I bought mine (off of Craigslist here in Dallas) just a couple of weeks ago. The bike is a 2009 and had only 1100 miles. It was first titled in 2011 and ridden sparingly for only one year. I paid $4,200 for it and considered it a pretty good deal considering it is practically a new...
