Learned something today about the helmet lock...

I use the pistol lock method. Feel it is a little better quality and yet cheap. Keep the key with my bike key ring. I wrap it through the grab bar, saddle and tail bags and the chin bar of the helmet.

People could still open bags if want, but would be allot of work to take them. Besides, when I go into store only thing in my bags are spare ear plugs, pen and old tshirt for sweat when hot out. Cell phone, wallet and other keys then go back in my pockets with me. After I buy something I head home.

Anyone looking for something that works good, try a cable gun lock. Really think you would like.

I bought my bike used and it didn't come with the toolkit. So I do the same thing. I use a Mossberg branded shotgun lock (it came with my shotgun) and it works wonderfully well. I just wrap it around the frame under the passenger seat and loop it through the "D" on the chin strap. While this method works for me, I still wish this bike had a real helmet lock as it would be much faster.
