    Richmond, Virginia Bike Nights 2015

Wahey another FZ6R in Richmond. I've only ever seen maybe 2 or 3 on the road. The head of my riding group is spearheading that bike night after the one held at Quaker Steak stopped after they abruptly closed. Hope to see you out there next time I decide to show up.

    T-rex frame slider for XJ6N?

I have them on my 6R with XJ6N plastics and they do not fit without trimming the plastic. If you don't mind cutting up the plastics then they fit no problem. That being said, I'm not using the stock mounting bracket for the left side(clutch side when sitting on the bike) so I'm not a great...

    Lowering Link for better handling?

I had mine lowered for a season and while it wasn't exactly worse, it wasn't better. The handling did have quite a different feel for me, more stable but not better. The bike is really stable as it is with the stock height so it wasn't a net gain for me. Plus I still wasn't able to flat foot...

    Blue tooth ready

Depending on how you feel about the sound quality, it's better to not have the recesses in the ears unless the speakers already press on your ears while in the recess. I have a Scala rider G9 and bought the space fillers and the sound quality is a night and day difference at least for me...

    2009 FZ6R Street Fighter Conversion

I wondered about that since the headlight is slightly different between the 6R and the XJ. I'm currently trying to order the headlight fairing pieces but haven't heard back from Motomatakos yet. This is very helpful info. Thanks for providing that.

    My new project

Hey trackfiend quick question. I recently did the conversion as well and got my parts from the same dealership that you did. The guy has been amazing. I ran into a snag with the bottom headlight mount. I've mounted the bracket to the bottom clamp, but it seems to be a quarter inch too far...

Dammit, I need a new bike

My vote goes for the Aprilia Shiver 750. Upright riding position, fantastic power delivery, but mean in the twisties as well. I had the pleasure of riding one back to my friend's place as he was out of town when he bought it. Man that thing was a blast.

    R6 Exhaust Marthy Edition

I lowered the front forks 3/4" to fit the Apex clip-ons. Corners quicker then on stock height. I'm 5' 6" roughtly so I currently stand on my toes and sometimes on the balls of my feet. Still debating if I want to go lowering link, but it's fine as it is now. That picture is also on a slight incline.

What did you do to your bike today?

Replaced my semi-broken throttle cable I messed up while installing the Apex clip-ons. Broken cable:
