Buy any can you like (preferably a short one) and chop the box off your exhaust and weld new can on... Sooooo much better than that hotbodies megaphone imho, that would also make your PC more useful since it would remove a lot of restriction. Good luck!
That was my thought, as well.
My reaction to seeing a cop when I'm going too fast is just to close the throttle, bikes drop speed pretty fast when you close the throttle and leave it in gear, it probably sounds stupid but I've always done that because I feel like slamming on the brakes is...
I wanted to go out today but the 200 yards of ice before I'd get to paved road would be a problem I feel like... Also I haven't changed out the storage oil or storage fuel or readied everything else on it for summer. It was 44 degrees here today, warmest it's been since last fall... back into...
That's a beautiful machine. Enjoy it. I like your view btw, unfortunately we have to live in the real world but when you can - just do it. You might not make it until tomorrow. :D
That sucks, I feel for you. I have a couple suggestions: First, go buy a tap kit for the correct size thread and drill it out and tap it, have some smaller bits to drill a hole down the center of the bolt first to make sure you go straight. You can also start with a small bit and keep going...
There is a long list of possible causes, as simple as a pebble stuck in the tire, uneven road surface, etc, etc.... but you also need to replace that tire, they start to scallop enough to start to impact performance well before 5k-6k miles, let alone 10k. Good luck. :D
Almost forgot! An update on the potential law that started the conversation. Maine riders spoke up in incredible numbers which is likely the reason it was overwhelmingly shot down by the state legislature. :Sport:
Just wanted to say that i very much appreciate how respectful of each other everyone was in this thread, it's a topic that, as was noted by the all powerful admins, can easily become a nasty argument/pissing contest. I'm glad to have the opportunity to be part of this group. For the most part i...
The Speedo is easily tested with a gps, i never have but i thought about it... But if my speedo reads high than I'd rather not know maybe it'll keep me out of trouble. I have passed cops at speeds that definitely warranted a ticket but haven't gotten one thank god. I've had 2 criminal speeding...
Cars do have a similar system but it's often a small valve closer to the tank, also your bike should have 2 hoses, one for pressure relief of the gas tank, and a second that is connected to the ring around your filler "neck" which if you overflow your tank it will seep out through there
Ok, so I'm having trouble navigating my local papers $hitty site, but here is the link to one of the articles that I had bookmarked when I was researching the subject. This also happens to be the article referenced in the article that was in my local paper anyway, so there ya go...
I'm a big believer that everyone is entitled to there opinion, so don't take this as a personal attack, just my personal feelings...
I disagree with most of what you said. If I want to ride without a helmet (I don't) I should not be fined for it, mainly because I am risking NO ONES LIFE AND/OR...
