Thanks! All the gas stations around me are the 10% ethanol sort, and it has been very hot around here!
The bike has been running perfect the past few days so I'm not too worried anymore :)
Hi all!
Went to start up my '09 (~4k miles) this morning and it did not want to start! Tried the starter button for about 30 seconds, pulsing on and off etc, but no dice.
Gave it a little gas while pushing the button caused the engine to rev but then once I let off the gas it died...
Any other northerners on here? Checking the weather for Boston this week and its going to hit 60! Time to uncover the fz6r, pop the battery back in, fill up the tires and take her for a nice long ride! :D:D
I'm just sick of the comprisons to the FZ6! Especially the "The FZ6R sucks because its 20hp less than the FZ6".
They are different bikes! Why not say "The FZ6 sucks because it has less HP than the FZ1!""
This is my personal opinion, so feel free to tell me to F off :)
It looks like you learned on the FZ6r this year, and have decided in less than 12 months to ditch it for an R1. I personally think this is crazy. Why do you need more power than the FZ6R? Where (legally) will you use this? Seems...
I wear FirstGear overpants when I ride - HT Overpants 2.0
They're pretty comfortable, great extra warmth in cold weather riding over jeans, but also very nice over shorts in the summer. They definately look a little goofy when I walk from my parking space to my desk because they're so bulky...
I love to ride! There's nothing I enjoy more than waking up early on the weekend and going out for a few hours on nice empty roads. I get no pleasure from riding at night when I can't see anything and I'm worried about dodging taxi cabs and drunks (I live in the city).
I also get no pleasure...
I never ride after dark unless I have no other option. Visbility is a constant challenge for the motorcyclist and I am always trying to limit my risk factors. Its the same reason I don't ride in the rain either.
Wow lots of questions :) I upgraded from a 2004 ninja 250 so I should be able to answer most of these (just have no clue on what size bike cover would fit!
Weight - This bike is heavy - 450 lbs. It can be tricky to move around but its not too bad. Just be careful on hills! I made the dumb...
Glad you're enjoying the bike man - just be careful out there! If you're scraping hard parts on public roads you must be riding at a pretty quick pace!
I'm too chicken to do that stuff on the street, I'm too busy worrying about the soccer mom in the minivan coming around that corner over the...
