Nah. Hagrid was just the image overlay's name.
That's it. Every bike is fun in it's own way. The perfect bike for me may just be a bike that fits my mood on most days. :p
Review of M1100 evo
The Ducati Monster is, without any doubt the most beautiful naked bike I have ever laid my eyes on.
I'll come clean and admit right now that I had bought the bike because of how it looks. There are better performing naked bikes out there for the same price; like the...
**Caution, lengthy and slightly corny thoughts on my Fz6r below.**
So.. having ridden the Fz6r for a couple of years, I decided it was time to get another bike.
I went on a Ducati demo ride and tested the Monster 796, followed by the Monster 1100 evo. Both bikes felt fantastic...
jocampo, Please do post here with whatever bike you decide to get (the triple or the monster). I'm currently on the same boat wanting to get another roadster for the summer. (M796 or the Street triple R)
Thanks!
During the spring months when temperatures were cooler, I had the front/back at 33/36 psi and felt the bike responded just fine. As the days got warmer, my back tire felt like it was squirming at even 70 to 80km/h on the on-ramp.
This past day I had the front/back increased to 34/38 psi...
Just browsed through threads that discussed tire pressure. It's known that that Yamaha is recommending 33psi front and 36psi rear for rider weighing 198lbs and below, and 36psi front and 42psi rear for riders weighting over 198lbs.. but.....
Anyone ever questioned why there's such a big...
wow, i bet the wind screen doesn't do much for you..
i'm about 6', and i definitely find riding with the seat height in the high position to be more comfortable on the long haul.
Although running through the same stretch of roads, I find the bike reacts differently to my steering inputs...
So I've been fooling around with the seat position from high to low, and back. I noticed that the bike feels like it's more willing to dip into a lean and more stable during the turn with the seat in the low position. I guess the difference of centre of gravity makes a difference.
I know it's not what you're asking, but basically it would be much more cost effective to just get another bike. The exhaust and fuel management solution alone can cost upwards of $1500 depending on which combo you get.
I love the response of the stock engine as is btw, it's really enough...
Seen a lot of new aftermarket fairings available for the FZ6R recently on the bay. Has anyone actually seen one installed?
There are other wacky colours like purple, lime green, orange too..
