  • I do use the stock pegs but I've removed the feelers. So now when I scrape, it's the toe slider on my boots and/or the peg itself. My buddies tell me every time my knee is about to touch, my toe scrapes and I pull my knee up by habit. LOL. Oh well. I'm going as fast as I want to on the street. No need to push harder. 70+ in a 35 corner is fast enough. ;)
I'm more than willing to take newer riders on some different roads. I've done it a lot. It was only a little over a year ago that I was in that same spot. I ride with a lot of guys on super sports and they're all really surprised at the speed I'm able to go with this bike. Stock tires aren't the best so they can be a bit sketchy. So don't try and get too aggressive until you get some better tires on there. Since you're all the way up in Oceanside, I can meet you sometime at the base of Paly and take you out to Julian and down Sunrise highway. It's my favorite road.
Sounds good to me. Palomar is something I try to only do from time to time. Usually when there's been no rain for quite a while. (Had a friend go down on some nasty washout in front of me on that road once. Scared the shit out of me.) But we can hook up for a ride sometime. You ever ride 94?
