Sorry guys for the lack of responses. A nice older fellow from Pensacola bought my 6R this morning for $4600. I sincerely hope he gets a lot of miles out of it.
I didn't realize how sad I'd really be when I saw it leaving the driveway :'(
I hope my neck heals and maybe next season if I'm in a...
Thanks Greg. When she finally does sell, I might shed a tear as she leaves the driveway.
Also, if anybody has any serious interest in the Givi bags + mounting hardware, let me know. I preferred to sell it all together so I didn't have to take the hardware off (I know, lazy) and ship...
(Sold) FS: 2009 FZ6R w/mods - South MS
Update: Sold :'(
I'm currently selling my 2009 Yamaha FZ6R, asking $5300 (reduced). After lack of interest in the Givi bags, I'll consider selling the bike for around $5000 and sell the bags separately.
I bought it brand new in July 2011 when...
Thanks guys, appreciate the advice.
I think I'll wash it up, take some new pics tomorrow, put it available here first for around $5500 to start with, and then move on to craigslist, and just see how it goes from there. I don't need the money, so I have plenty of time.
I know I haven't showed my face here in quite a long time, but I do check in on the threads occasionally. I haven't rode much in several months, for a lot of reasons, some excusable, some not.
My bike has been in the garage since December, and I've rode less and less since last labor day...
I was actually probably the first one in the state of MS or TN to buy one. They just rolled off the trucks on Thursday or Friday.
And yeah, the regular Veloster was very much lacking. I test drove the regular months ago, fell in love with it, except it didn't have the "oomph" I wanted...
I drive 7 hours Thursday night from Hattiesburg, MS to Nashville, TN, stayed in a hotel room, then first thing Friday morning I was one of the first people in the state to pick up my new toy:
2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, Ultimate Package.
This is an HDR pic (I'm on a HDR kick right now...
I pulled up beside a guy in helmet couple of weeks ago in polo, shorts, and flip-flops at a redlight, he was riding a bright green Ninja zx6r. For whatever reason he was revving his engine, I simply nodded, though when the green light hit he wasn't moving so I quickly navigated in front of him...
Thanks for the input guys. I think I will take a break for at least a few weeks after I get my cage, perhaps wait until it starts cooling off in September. Lucky for me, I paid cash for the bike, so I don't have be nagged about the payment, just have to pay $250 / yr for insurance. If I'm not...
Ok, first thread I've made in a long time, so here we go.
I've only been riding a couple years now, July made it one year on the 6R, and for some reason, I just feel tired of riding. I don't feel that exhilaration anymore, and it feels like a burden more than anything else lately...
Thanks! I don't really consider myself talented, but I get a little better everytime I take out the camera. Sometimes it's just a game of numbers...I came back from vacation with 5300 photos, and just narrowed those down to the best 100 :)
And last, but not least, our vacation to Europe. Was really proud of some of these. Looking forward to affording prints / frames. The entire trip shot with a single Tamron 18-270mm on a Canon T3i.
