How do you all travel with a spare helmet?

I dont. But if I did... I know they make helmet bungy nets to strap it to the back seat. No clue how secure it is. Never had a need for a spare helmet.
I use a bunjee net.I got a orange one to match for like $7 at the dealership.
Its the biggest reason I still have my fender.The helmet stretches the net a little after a few uses and you need connect the hooks under the tail instead of using the grab bar.The fender just keeps the hooks from sliding around under the tail.I'm sure it would work without it, just might require more care to secure it

Are we talking with out a passenger on the back? Cause I just use the helmet holder that came with the bike when there isn't anyone on the back. Seems to hold up just fine.

When I know I'm picking someone up I just strap helmet bag across my back .
Strap your helmet to your back, hop on your bike and have someone snap a pic. JT wants to see what it looks like. LOL!

No problem, I have problems posting pics from my system, but i'll go throw a helmet on my bike and text you pics.My bikes dirty from rain yday so I need to clean it up anyway.
I use my helmets bag.I always just weave the drawstring through the net, it holds it fine.You'll be able to use it to hold your backpack if you ever need any more room.

Another option would have been besides Kayos listing is by a cable gun lock. When I go into the store I wrap it around a few times on the passenger grab rail and then through the D-Rings.

I can do it three ways, bungee net like above, its pretty secure.

I'll do bungees for the most part and just strap it to back seat but seeing as I know how florida can be some days I put the helmet in a garbage bag so it wont get soaked in the event of rain. I even carry a couple spare bags under the rear seat for just this purpose even for my helmet if I decide to leave it on the bike.
I'm working on getting a rear case though so that I can just slap it in there when I go somewhere but I still like to keep the bungees around for any other types of storage.
