some EXTREME riding and Speeds thread

I don't know why anyone is bashing CC cause as far as I know he doesn't go around wheeling anyway, he rides within his means and is a safe and sane rider. I also agree lets keep it about wheelies cause thats what this topic is really about anyway.

All CC did was give us a pretty cool video to enjoy IMO! So for that I say thanks CC

It seems to me that everyone on here does think of everyone as "Family" and none of us here on our forum wants to see, hear, or read about another fellow "Family" member getting hurt.

Most of these post have opinions but from what I am seeing it is concern and a brotherly love that says "Hey we just don't want anybody to get hurt, so lets just keep it safe while out there on the highway".

Do I make sense, do you all agree, that its we want our fellow forum members to be safe instead of roadrash?

I do think that your definition of spirited and my definition of spirited are not the same.

You ever go more than 5mph over a posted corner speed? You ever scrape your pegs? You ever accelerate hard from a stop? Have you ever throttled out of the apex of the corner? Ever ride over the speed limit? Ever ride with only one hand on the handlebars?

All spirited riding. Not just according to me, but by the law on a few of these.

Its okay to have opinions, I dont mind them we all have em. But make sure your opinions aren't hipocritial of your own self and proclaimed riding, and whats visible in your own videos.

Im just giving an opinion on your opinion and how I think its hipocritical of other statements you have made about riding, and now you all can think I am a Dueche Canoe for it...bahahaha.....BUT...my pure intention of this is not to be a D.C. but to point out you had made some pretty hipocritical judgements. Thats all, carry on....

I will tell the truth!

IF I COULD RIDE A WHEELIE LIKE THAT, YOU THINK I WOULDN'T?????????

HELL YEAH! Just depends on when and where!:squid:

Really though can't we all just get along?:catfight:

When you can explain how they are of different principle and have different end results, then I'll close the thread and walk away with my tail between my legs.

To me, spirited riding means gunning it a lil in less populated areas, on roads which I know pretty well, for the thrill of riding. This is usually done on two wheels with as much traction as I can get.

The activity that you chose to highlight involves 1 wheel, and a highway.

I think it would be safe to say that I am safer doing 45mph in a 35mph sweeping corner rather than doing wheelies down the highway.

One screams aggressive rider :Sport: -- while the other screams :squid:.

No need to get offended -- but I think you should re-think what you represent and to who and how you present these things.

He looked like he had excellent control of his bike, even though it might not have been the right time or place I have to agree with CC. A beginner rider simply going around a slight curve 2mph above the speed limit could be just as dangerous or even more then what this guy was doing.

I'd like to go on record as saying that comparing speeding to doing wheelies is like comparing a chainsaw to a rocket launcher. Sure, you can mess up someone or something with a chainsaw, but it's a helluva lot easier to do it with an RPG.

Yes, I've done stoopid things on a bike, so I'm not gonna preach this or bash that, but really people, let's at least all try to recognize that doing that kind of stuff in public is dangerous to those around you. Yes, taking a corner fast can have you eating sh*t, but by putting a wheel up you lose the vasy majority of your control. Doing that around other cars, people, bikes, etc. you put them at risk. If you eat it on a turn, chances are pretty good yer gonna end up off the road after highsiding catapult-style. Bailing on a wheelie = bike takes out things to the side and behind you and you get run over, in all likelihood.

Just a little reality check here, people. And hey, I like this forum because the people here keep their bigboy pants on and keep the bashing and sh*t-talking to a minimum. Give CC a break, would ya? We're all MC enthusiasts, and he was stoked about something cool. Why kick him in the nuts about it?

I'm with ya. If I could, would I? To be completely honest, I would. I would pick and choose when and where however.... But to each their own! :steve:

I just don't get it. I'm not into bike stunts at all. All they do is wheelies, stopies and burnouts and a million of variation of those three. Pretty boring IMO.

thats cool, I'm glad your sharing your opinion.

I dont think of it as a whole, because that was my friend doing it. He has skills, and so its not just some Rando doing stunts that I have seen over and over....idc...its still my friend doing it which Is why I felt I should share it....with my other friends...

I'm sorry, but what happened to all the MEN?!?! I think this thread has gotten WAY too petty, whiney, and "but he said this !", etc.....

Let's all unravel our panties and get over it. :D

We're all buddies here. If you don't like what someone says or their opinion and you know its going to cause an uproar, then don't say anything at all and let it die.

My gosh I feel like a mom now. Well, here's to good practice. Cheers. :iconbeer:

I say we all go out and have "WHEELIE TIME" :steve::cheer: LOL J/K

Come on guys Liz is right.
