Pics and link, please... I was looking at Engear, but wasn't sure about it on the Fizzer...!

Installed T-Rex sliders last night... tonight, oil and filter (600 mi. change -- off to buy a cheap filter wrench... shame - can only use it once - the K&N filters have their own nut on top to grab).

Outside of a lawn mower and Snow Thrower, going to be doing my first oil change on a vehicle today. When I get home from work, I plan on letting it sit for about 5 minutes to cool down, then put my pan that I use for the above "tools" to catch the oil. I think I read I can take used oil to walmart up to 4-5 qts per day for free.. Then filling her up with some AMSOIL.

Pray for me! LOL, I am electronically inclined for video, audio and data, but I am typically not very mechanically inclined! :o But I really want to learn to do atleast some small parts of my own maint.
 
Christmas came early for me today!! :)

Got my Puig windscreen and tire hugged in the mail just now. Going to be putting those on today.

Also going to be installing T-Rex frame sliders and a FE.

My first self done oil change complete. WOW that bolt was really on there tight! But I think I need to get an bigger oil pan maybe for next time.. Mine worked good, but the oil shot out farther then I thought it would when it was initially draining, but also dripping from the back, my container couldnt reach both if these streams/drips.

Also spilled some oil on my catch rug I had under the truck for its leaking oil cooler lines. I cleaned this up with those blue shop paper towels. Anyone know how to get rid of these things? I assume they cant go in the trash with oil on them now. Do the places that take used oil usually allow you to throw that there also?

That was easy though!! Cost of my oil vs cost of paying for it to be done.. Nice savings of about $40 net savings. (No oil filter this time - Had a new filter put on in winterization and only have 1300 miles on it, since say 8k miles between, I figure I can go another 4k to get up to the 8k service. Looking forward to how messy that gets:) )
 
Decided to do my own service today as well...

Been breaking it in hard, so I'm not surprised at the color of the oil...
I've always used those roasting pans as disposable oil pans... work great and hold mondo oil...

I did the filter as well, and replaced the stock with a K&N 204. *Love* the nut welded onto the top of that filter... Had to use an oil wrench to get the stock filter out.

You're right about the drain plug. Took quite a bit of leverage on my torque wrench to break it free, and when it did, it snapped so loud, I thought I might have sheared the thing at first...

Anyway... This is the 1st change, and I put in Motul 3000 10w-40. Next change I'm going to Amsoil synthetic, and I'll stick with synth from then on... can't beat it.

I plan on flushing the coolant as well, as soon as I get around to it, and replacing it with SuperCool:

This bike runs hot, and I want to see if a coolant with WaterWetter will make a difference.

Sorry about the quality of pics, but those are the clearest pics I could take with the iPhone of the flush mounts. But cmon even at those angles it looks hawt! :p
 
Went for a 2 hour ride down PCH highway 1.

Took some pictures of the Puig Dark Smoke windscreen and the T-Rex frame sliders I put on yesterday.

thanks nasty I put alot of work into it things did not go good at first nothing fit right I had to do a lot of custom modifications

Set my spring to level 7 from level 5.. BIG difference. Just got back from about a 2 hour night ride..
