Hey Gang, Sorry I've been away for several months now, but wanted to drop a line and say I'm back, healthy, and enjoying the almost daily rides on the ol yeller FZ6R.
I have a work related injury that tore my labrum in my left shoulder and needed surgery to repair. Worst part about the entire recovery was the sleeping in a recliner for a couple weeks. Although it is not moving as it once was before the injury, it is way better than before the surgery.
I've been riding back and forth to work for several weeks now. Really enjoying the 52 mpg average. Recently turned 10,000 miles the other day, (bike had 6900 on it when I bought it last year). I replaced the front tire today since it was very worn. Purchased from Amazon, right at 70 bucks for Continental Conti-Motion, or something along that name. Same brand as my rear tire I replaced last year.
I have been thinking of upgrading to a bigger bike since I'm 6'5" and 250 lbs, but decided against it for the fun I have on this one, as well as the MPG. It gets me where I need to go, I enjoy it, it looks good, and if I look like Donkey Kong riding it then I'm OK with that too. I am not riding across country on it, so work travel and occasional joy rides are just fine for me.
I'll try my best to stop by here and join in on some discussions in the evenings. I've missed you guys.
