Odometer
Sorry about the odometer, I will switch it over, I am not familiar with a digital dash, I hauled the bike home in a truck and rode it around here to get the 13 miles, nothing fishy about it. Just hoped someone on here that appreciates this type of bike would like a deal on a new bike. I did try to get a test ride at the dealer but they do not offer such a thing since the bikes are never prepped (oil, fluids, etc.) before sale. I can send you as many pics of the bike as needed if you are considering purchasing it or you can come and see it in person. appreciate the responses. Tom

wow Tom gonna be an expensive lesson. next time, find the same make/model on craigslist used, ride over on your dualsport so they know you're a moto guy and take a test ride that way. heck, even save $ and buy used, unless you know buying new gonna keep it a while to get the $ out of it. good luck
PS: go ride it some more!

This never seemed fishy besides the odometer pic. People impulsively buy crap all the time. I'm with you guys and think he should give it more of a chance. And btw, an fz6r is much different than a dual sport.

I kinda like Tom... I mean he's offering a great deal here and money is a subjective thing. Maybe Tom is a gazillionaire with a terminal disease... or maybe he's got a sugarmommy or something.

I have read some of the responses here and understand the doubt, I dont have a sugar mommy, I am a retired federal investigator, and am very careful about any statements or comments I make without first having all the facts! I would'nt want to look ignorant later. I have enclosed a copy of the invoice with my personal info deleted (of course) I have also posted some new photos of the odometer and bike. I will delete this posting or list it as sold in the next week so I won't waste anymore of the folks time on here, if you are interested we can talk on the phone or meet. I will not ship or take a deposit, sale must be within 250 miles of san diego. Thanks again. Tom

A good friend of mine worked at the dealership I purchased it from, otherwise they wanted upwards or more of 9k on it. So for those who didn't try hard enough to lower the price, I can see why to them 6k is justifiable.

Have you seen the "how much did you pay..." thread? I paid something like $7200 out the door for a new (0 miles) 2009 bike in 2009. It worked out to $5800 or so for the bike, and then the rest was CA tax (8.5%), "freight/handling", and registration.
what can i say? i was feelin goofy? idno im a strange person i say some funny things..like at 2am half dead asleep yelling at my tv with my buddy to hear me "bitch you study bones what do you know!"... ( she was an anthropologist talking about culture on taboo and for some reason my brain thought it said paleantologist)
i have seen the thread matter afact i posted in there yesterday... some people on here got some crazy effin deals
