I have been really thinking about what exhaust I want to get and then I seen the numbers I am sure this has to of been brought up before but I am having trouble locating any threads about it..

But is this for real?? $800+ will only get me 3.4 hp and I would LOSE 0.2 ft-lbs???

So really all you are doing is paying $800 for to shave off 10lbs from the bike and make it twice as loud??

Stock
Peak HP 68.8 hp
Peak Torque 44.5 ft-lbs

TBR Difference
Peak HP 72.2 hp
Peak Torque 44.3 ft-lbs

I heard it was an 7hp gain from 69-76hp and have no clue about ft lbs difference, but I can tell you it's not a waste of money(considering the quality and performance it does offer)....I felt like I was riding a new bike as soon as I installed mine....The power band seems to be much better and I would recommend it highly. I haven't seen much in the way of competition for the TBR besides M4 and a yoshimura off an R6, I am sure as time goes by there will be more and more companies developing exhaust systems for us...I couldn't wait for that time to come...

A PCV would do those numbers...then if you saw off your cat (if it's legal in your state), you wouldn't need the TBR and could wait for something else to come out...but if your willing to saw off your cat...well then you can order anything you want and weld it together...remember joloy133's dyno chart? That is just with a PCV and a "modded stock exhaust"

what is this "modified" stock exhaust that you speak of? :)

I do not know what joloy133 did to hid exhaust...only that he said he had a modified stock exhaust...i assumed he meant the cat was cut off...

Yes, everyone, just cut off your big cluncker box and leave the 4 header pipes going down below the oil pan. Then, just ride an enjoy the sound, while you wait for some good options to come up!

I would totally do that...if i wasnt such a pansy...*goes off to cry*

or cut it off and weld a straight pipe...hmmm...like cars maybe...or weld another exhaust slip-on...like i don't know...a slip on:eek: even punching a whole prior to the cat would give extra power...and if you cut it of RIGHT before the cat...it's not the 4 pipes hanging...its a shortie straight pipe...just a possibility...in fact theres a youtube video where someone did that

MY buddy and I both have 09' FZ6R's and we installed a Two Brothers Full Exhaust System on his bike (Im soon to be getting as well). He weighed the bike before and after installation, because of questions like this, and also placed it on a dyno to see the difference in power. After was all said and done he lost roughly around 9 - 10 lbs off the bike and gain between 7 - 9hp. I cant remember how much he paid for it but I can tell you, the price was well worth the outcome.

p.s. for those wondering how he was able to weigh and get a dyno to test... he owns his own motorcycle repair shop. he has all the nice toys.

ordered the M4 full system + K&N Filter.
I plan to dyno it first opportunity.
will let you know what I get.

I am thinking about getting the m4 as well, there is somthing about it that I find "sexy" hahah! Its sleek, slim, tucked away, it reminds me of a sleeper mod, you can tell somthing has been done but it doesnt look like much.. :D
