If you are installing exhaust, it is highly recommended that you get a fuel controller of some type. Whether it be a Power Commander 5 (PCV), TBR Juice Box, or Juice Box Pro. They all can increase the amount of fuel going to the engine. Once you do an exhaust, you will run too lean, since there is more airflow, you need to add fuel to keep the Air/Fuel ratio balanced. You can do just exhaust for a little while, but run the risk of damaging your engine if you never get a fuel controller. This is a newbie question but would you need to do a PCV as well with this or could you just install the exhaust? Furthermore what exactly is a PCV and how much are they lol I know it has something to do with the computer system on the bike but ??? If I could do just the exhaust I may be interested.
Thank you! Also I contacted the seller and this item sold yesterday. Looks like it'll be a Marthy's viper exhaust for me!If you are installing exhaust, it is highly recommended that you get a fuel controller of some type. Honestly, I wish that I had done a Marthy exhaust. It would have made my 6R stand out WAY more. Shoulda Coulda Woulda I guess. Definitely would be getting a quality product if you went with Marthy. One tip, make sure you are ready before you bother him, he is a very busy man. Decide what you want, tell him, and he will get it done. He gets tons of requests constantly that go nowhere. It is just curteous when he is really not making any money off of those exhausts.Thank you! Also I contacted the seller and this item sold yesterday. I was gonna buy it but saw the picture and didn't. They say is operational. But the smash on the head would annoy the crap out of me. some people don't care.Did you look at the pictures? The header is trashed.
They say the muffler is fine. That header does not look usable....They say is operational.
No, a slip-on will not fit the 6R, it is a one piece welded system that is on there, and the only way to get a slip-on is to cut off the black box, and have a mid-pipe welded on. Then it would be all custom. This has been talked about numerous times. Simple searches on the forum, or Google would yield helpful results.
Exactly. Thank you Link. It is an option, but it isn't the standard "slip-on" route like on other bikes.Like mine
