that's why I liked my little Sonoma 4banger 5 speed... got a decent 28ish mpg and stepside bed, good for small hauls to the dump, but not too big that everyone bugged me. and with a 34 mile each way commute, mpg matters, if I lived within 10 miles, probably not as much.

i actually have 2 more payments on my car and then im going to turn in my wifes lease, give her my car and get a new one. i think i want an infinity g37 but maybe i should consider something that i could at least hitch a small trailer to. Would really love to be able to drag the bike around, especially on vacations.

i heard you mention the truck but must have missed this. nice looking, whats that get about 10 miles to the gallon?

im done with trucks, i can't stand the mileage at $4.20 a gallon and the "hey can you bring your truck and help me move this" crap !

Will be really cool to take your bikes in though. Next time we go for a ride you can just load it up in the back and bring down the truck, at 10 miles a gallon lol

When are you going to start modding and putting Monster on the truck?

it actually gets good mileage with the new ecotech variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation it gets 24 on hwy and like 17 city
no no modding other than a nice bed cover and cold air intake. I bought the top of the line so that I did not have to mod lol

yea my commute is like 8 miles and I previously had a ford ranger wich was amazing I loved it but told myself I would get a nice crew cab if I ever got a truck again and I went crazy lol as always

dude this truck is a luxury vehicle with the functionality of a full size truck I love it. its worth a test drive lol

but you should really look at all of the recent truck reviews specifically the head to head comparisons and even Google top 5 trucks.


if for any reason you do go down the Nissan titan road wait till they revamp their truck it is the oldest design of the bunch. I think tundra recently made slight updates but take my advice the GMC is worth you spending some time looking into and reading or watching its reviews and even possible a test drive

no i think some posts disapeared. Thanks for the info, im looking a little smaller, any truck on the planet can haul my bike i would imagine so maybe a 6 or even 4cyl. Im not going to be hauling a 5th wheel or anything. They have those GMC in a 6 and if you dont mind my asking what aprox did it run you?
i like the look of the frontiers but that seems a far cry from an infinity lol

yes that GMC Sierra with a V6 starts at 26K and also has cylinder deactivation and gets great mileage but for 1k or 2k more you can get the 5.3L V8 and it only gets 1mpg lower than the V6 so why even bother looking at the v6. that is just my opinion.




and well as far as what I got I went to the highest trim and went with the double cab both adding a significant amount to the price. I kept comparing to the base model but it is to bare bones for me Im a technology guy and would be unhappy without all of the amazing features you get with the nicer packages. come on its 2014 any car without some decent tech is out of the question (well im getting a new car so im getting what I want otherwise ill just buy a used junker go big or go home attitude lol) so my price was more like 36.5K on a truck with an MSRP of 44.5K


please take into account that if I use my truck for work I get reimbursed heavily so my company is basically paying the vehicle for me so that factored in heavily
