or tailbag, or saddlebags, or whatever you bring along on every ride?

In prep for the new bike, I'm putting together a preparedness kit in case of bad weather, emergency, getting lost, hungry, thirsty, etc.

So far I have:

Rain gloves
Jacket liner
Rainsuit
Flashlight
Warning strobe or flares
First aid kit
Medical gloves
Bottled water
Snack bars
Cash
Lock
Bungee cords
Sidestand pad
Tool kit
Multitool (Leatherman, e.g.)
Tire inflator or fix-a-flat
Spare bulbs (head, tail, turn)
Quart of oil in a ziploc bag
Rags or shop towels
Roll of tape
Jumper cables
Camera
Maps or GPS
Notepad & pen

Wow, this is getting heavy! What am I missing?

wow, where do you sit?
I keep it basic:
oil
rain gear
water
insurance/title (they said keep it in the vehicle:rolleyes:)
Wouldnt keep the title on the bike at all... Keep that at home where no one can take it. All you need is Registration and Insurance.

All I carry is:

Oil
Tire pressure gauge
Chain lube
tool kit of course
and.... no thats it. :D

So far in my tool bag under the seat I have FZ6R tool kit, registration, inspection card, and insurance card.

Still looking for a tank/tail bag, but I haven't gone more than 10 miles from home yet.

I was looking at the FZ6R tank bag on the Yamaha site though since it says that it matches the contours of our tank.

yeah... registration, that's what I meant:eek: too early in the morning....

though a small first aid kit sounds reasonable, I'll have to look into that (would suck to drop the bike and have a gashed leg/arm with no way to clean it up)
wake up! :D

Apparently I travel light. I have a small tank bag to carry my lunch and a bungee on weekdays. I always carry stock tool kit, insurance and registration in the trunk.

I found a Joe Rocket bag from tobefast.com for $35. It countours well with the tank, has a built in tank pad, rain cover, shoulder strap, cell phone pocket with window, a small front pocket and the main storage compartment. It also comes in various colors.
