Its diffrent hearing that perspective, but i've heard it a few times from the Senior enlisted tier, being an A1C all i want to do is get up there. Sounds like the middle tier is the best.
But i'm a new Weather Troop, still in upgrade training and all that good stuff.

Enjoy your Airman days bro!!! Haha. Being a SSgt is about perfect in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, life as a SMSgt is pretty chill, but it's very boring at times too. I miss launching loaded jets and watching them come back empty.

Here is a pic from 2 weeks ago on the morning I left Joint Base Balad, Iraq. This motley crew was our Sq supervision, Chief on the right, 3 SMSgt's and 2 MSgt pro-supers. Basically all the old dudes.

Rjohnson, the AF is a very small place, the second pic is a guy I worked for when I was a SSgt and he was a MSgt. Ten years later he is a contractor (making crazy money) and I'm still AD and we bump into each other in freakin Iraq...what are the odds? Small AF world.

Don't miss that place much.

:D

That's what i seem to hear, but being an airman isn't all bad. ;)
And i hear ya on the small world, I dated a Colonels daughter in HS and come to figure out hes the commander of AF weather at Offut and came down to my unit last weekend. He had no idea i had even came in and i didn't know his position in weather. Was pretty cool as an Airman talking to a Colonel as a person, not a colonel.

My tempo says i'm due any where from Dec to Apr to deploy, but if i do it'll only be TCN duty my leadership has said they won't deploy 3 level, for Weather support. and most of that time i'll be in training and won't be going on any TCN duty then either but maybe closer to Apr

photobucket keeps crashing so i'm just going to have to upload as an attachment but here is the wife and I.
