What did you do to your bike today?

I installed the Viper can and PCV along with the blockoff plates. Gotta tell you, the videos dont even come close to how awesome the exhaust sounds. Another satisfied customer ladies and gentleman.

I don't make those exhaust for free but won't quit my day time job anytime soon either. I like to help other people like me that don't want to spend big $$$ to make our bike cool! (And stick it to the MAN...lol) But when I read those kind of comment, this is money to me! That just make my day...

i did some research on the suspension and changed my setting to 5 (i weigh 220) since i been riding on the factory 3 setting.

Took my bike in for its 600 mi. service! Looking forward to getting it back tomorrow. I didn't ride it to work on Monday or today, that would have been ~150 mi. extra... trying to be nice to her.

So far everyone that I know who's gone to track has crashed. . This is one of my friends from about a month ago. He broke his wrist and totaled the bike. . That's why I keep holding out.

Took the bike to football practice. I hate driving on the stones there though. Doesn't help that the lots have huge potholes too. Nice fields though. LOL!

Not today, but this last Saturday morning. Brought my bike into the shop for the 8k service... Only cost me $24!!!

Of course I changed the spark plugs (NGK Iridium) and the Oil/Filter myself! But had them Lubricate/check everything over and whatever else is in the 8k.

I haven't went yett either, but id love to.Don't worry about it, just cruise around at a safe speed and open it up when you feel safe.Just enjoy watching all of the ego's crash while you cruise around at 70% and work on your skills.

That feeling will allways be there if your a motorsports fan.Everytime I go to the off road park nearest to home.I worry about a sandrail smoking my truck lol.Shit happens, it just happens less to people that are conscience about it.

I think it took me probably 2-3 hours. The actual changing of the spark plugs probably only 10 minutes. What took forever was:
*removing the hoses that hold the rubber "cover" down. The tabs to squeez with the pliers were pointed on the side part of sideways, so took forever and very very soo fingers trying to squeeze them enough to slide them to point upwards enough so that I could use the pliers to squeeze the tabs.
*Getting the airbox back down all the way. Per the thread above I loosened the two outer screws on the airbox valve covers... So when trying to put it back on it would not seat down all the way.. Buy yourself LONG Allen wrenches or so, so you can reach the middle 2 gaskets to loosen and then tighten.. I assume that would eliminate the problem I had.
*Next time with what I know now, I think I will have this down to maybe a 60-75 minute job..

**Make sure that you remember to put those rubber grommets holding the zip ties so that the thick of the rubber is on top of the frame piping otherwise your gas tank will wobble slightly.

Busy at my kids football game all day since it was away, but I was getting some beer out of the garage fridge and sat on her and started F'n with the gas tank warning sticker and pealed it off. Got adhesive off with WD-40. Looks much better now, especially with the new tank pad. Gonna take her out sometime tomorrow after some yard work and give her a bath.

Went over to Jay's (jspansel) place after work today. He helped me lower the front end of my bike. Lowered 5/8". Much better feel, digs into the corners and I'm pretty much flat foot now! All that and the added bonus of the bike looking so much better appearance wise!

Installed my new Puig Touring Screen light tint. (wish it was dark...) Look is a perfect 10 for sure. Now let do the real test, road test.

The Puig is 2" shorter than the Marthy 22" but got more "bubble" in the middle. So that should even out. I had to readjust my hand guard just a bit but they still fit perfectly.

Mine arrives tomorrow... I'll be taking it for a solid test run Sunday, on a ride with another member here. I went with the smoke as well (light tint. I got tired of waiting on the clear).
I'm hoping it serves the purpose I bought it for... I'm riding year round, and I need this to keep the colder wind off my chest and neck... The neck gaiters work alright, but they're such a PITA...

Drove to the bank this morning then down to campus for class from 10-1, filled up on my way home 43.1 mpg, my best so far is 46.1 mpg. I have been logging all the fill ups on fuelly and have tracked about 800 miles and averaging 45mpg

I didn't kept the nicest one and it's getting quite beat up! I'm not getting rid of it... Putting my pride aside... The Puig look much better to be honest. It still look sporty. But it all come down on getting the job done, in that dep. it's going to be hard on beating the Marthy screen... I set the bar pretty high on efficiency!

My only concern with the Puig is the lack of support on the back side. I think it's going to flop around a bit. Thing I fixed with the 2 little stainless steel support. On my big screen with the deflector I add two 12" support. I think I can see some 6" with this screen. But I won't do anything until I give it a good test.
