Well I just got my seat back from being re foamed and just holding it and pressing the foam it feels more solid and sitting on it for a few minutes it feels more supportive.

Also I ordered a touring screen from Zero Gravity and sadly Parts Unlimited does not have it stock so it will be a surprise on when it will come in.

Also I am seriously considering ordering the Chad hard cases from Yamaha but I am not sure just yet.

Sweet! Nice to see some Touring oriented 6R. Feel lonely sometime. LOL

Just to give you some option. I use the extra large Ebay top case for $40.00 Been there for a while and still look ok. Got that with some Givi E21 side case. Perfect set up for few days one up riding. If you ride 2up go big early and save $$$. Once you get cases on a bike... it's hard to live without it!

I have to agree w/ Marthy. Once you start having bags on it is hard to go without!. I once used a soft sport tail bag and found myself never able to take it off. Now I have the Givi V46 (and want the V35s) and only take that off on my days off, but then the soft bag goes back on. I find them just too usefull. I will carry my mini aircompressor, tire pressure guage in there. Then also depending on the time of day I am riding or expecting to transition into, I will also have my spare visor in clear or dark smoke. The visor is no big deal because you can carry that around your stomach-sides, but imagine carring a TPG or Pump in your jacket pockets!! Then during 80+ days I will carry a small bottle of water.

I love having a sport touring geared setup. When absolutely needed, I will also mount my soft saddle bags.

It was....but I didn't like it, buffetting and to tall! I have another Puig touring screen I am thinking about trying.

I have my stock screen, marthy screen, and the puig touring in my shed. I have the puig black racing screen on it (its like a double bubble). I like it the best so far. I have a set of soft saddle bags (with tail bag) I was trying to unload too.

It was....but I didn't like it, buffetting and to tall! I have another Puig touring screen I am thinking about trying.

I am not suprised! With it being that huge I am surprised it didn't snap off down the road.

Touring set up is perfect for our little bike! Plus, a topcase over shadows the fender....
I must admit though, with a topcase and soft saddlebags (I never take any off), I have little use for my tank bag (which is awesome whenever it is I use it).
Next is to fit an attachment to hold my hockey bag and sticks...J/K.

It had supports that attached to the dash panel where the little pop in plugs went.

I like my saddle cases, but wish Heineken had the E35's instead of the E21s, ha ha (I bought his Givi set up). More functional and better looking too.

Well so far the new seat feels amazing , probably only put 80 miles on it so far and the only complaint I can say is I feel isolated from the bike almost...before I knew everything the bike was doing now I have to learn all over again.

I have, so far, put Givi Easylock "hybrid" Side bags, a Puig Touring windscreen and heated grips on the FZ6R to try and bring it somewhat closer to a sport touring machine for the GF to tag along on trips. Thinking a custom seat is the next big upgrade if she rides more.

My biggest issue with this bike as a 'touring' bike is it's incredibly short range. I'm used to 4 hours or more between fuel stops, I find we have to make twice as many stops when the FZ6R is following. Has anyone done anything to address this?

I'm actually considering a trailer dolly setup to ride 2 up and tow the 6R on the longer, least enjoyable parts and unleash her in the really fun places.
