Just had a gear indicator installed on the FZ6R and I am very satisfied. It takes any guess work out of gear selection and even has a built in rev light that can be set to your preffered shift points.
Our shop mounted the read out above the led screen and this places the 'number' in easy sight during my rides.:canada:
The only down point may be that the kit is 'universal' so there was a good deal of work involved to get the unit installed on our bike. Still worth it IMO!

Did you set the shift for our 9 something k peak?

Look at the banner on top of this site.....

XT Sportbike Accessories.ca is where I got the item and I have the shift light set at 7500 rpm. The blue shift light will stay on while you are above the set shift point. I tried lower settings but at highways speeds the light was always on. 7500 will do for now.
