Use a ramp to get you're bike into the house?

I normally park my bike indoors in the garage room, which is a small room off my garage. However, The door jam is a few inches off the ground so I've been using a small box as a ramp but am thinking about actually buying a ramp to get her in there. Looked on ebay but only saw ramps for pick-ups ect....


What do you use?

If its only a few inches, make a plywood one yourself?

What he said.

Head to home depot or lowes, and you can buy pre cut sheets of ply. You can also have them cut to whatever dimensions you want in the lumber section if you have no tools and want something small.

Or, find some scrap wood and barrow a skill saw from someone.

Rev it to about 8K and dump the clutch... It should get over it! LOL

Well, I have powered it over the box and hump for two years but since I have new tires now I'm gonna come up with something different.

I could try to learn how to bunny hop the bike :)

Then again, I would probably hit the door frame.

When we did the "go over an obstacle" test in the MSF.. .I made a comment about seeing bigger pieces than that flying off trucks... the old guy (60's, rode a GW) said, son, you can go over a 6x6 on a lot of bikes.... :eek:
I have yet to test that... not at the top of my list of things to do :p
but yeah, if it's just a couple of inches, build a ramp from scraps or just get a good run to push it up, or ride it... whatever you feel more comfortable with

I have about a five inch rise to get bikes into my shed. I place a foot long 2X4 against the edge. I use plywood ramp for the 700+ pound XVZ.
