Termignoni vs TBR?

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Termignoni exhaust for the XJ6 on the FZ6R? I was looking for something different than what everyone else has. However if the TBR exhaust makes more power I might be swayed toward that because acceleration/ HP is king

Check out Marthy's posts about the exhaust he builds or hit him up with a PM. You can do well for much cheaper if you go his route.

As for Termignoni you'll end up paying for cost and half up to twice that of a TBR set up as you first have to find the rare dealer that can order from Italy, even then they may not get back to you when they look at shipping. The full system is not stocked in the US. I know I priced it and still have not found a dealer/vendor willing to order it even after they told me they could.

I think the few exhaust that are available are all in the same ball park. When I did my back to back comparison stock vs. Supertrapp with 8 discs I was -2 peak hp, after PCV and 12 discs I was +4hp. (-1 from TB) accordingly to there web site. The Viper can got more top end because it's all open and the Map are quite more refine. No point to go back on the dino now that the weather is so hot (was in the low 50's back then) to compare the Supertrapp and Viper.

In my book, the engine is so detune compare to the old R6 that you get to a point where the exhaust can just do so much difference. The next big step is under the valve cover... but since I really like the engine characteristics, I don't feel like I need to get there.

At the end of the day, it's just a matter of name brand and look over performance. If you don't really care about the name brand... I like to think that a $450.00 exhaust is worth it...:thumbup:
