Last year it was my accident... This year my bike gets stolen.
So I got home from work about 1:30pm yesterday and I park my bike in the garage like i normally do (i live in an apartment building so I have to share it with a bunch of idiots unfortunately) About 9:15pm I went down to get a fresh pack of smokes out of my bike since I was goin to hit up the local bar. I go around the corner to find a big empty parking spot. My parents had gotten home from grocery shopping about 6:30pm so in those few hours my bike got jacked. Now my building, we've always had trouble with people breaking into cars and other crap... But i've had enough of it. Not the best way to start the weekend. And now i'm sad to say i'm leaving the FZ6R scene as i'm taking the money and gonna be buying an R6. I did enjoy my time I had with it and I will miss it especially all the work i put into it. I'll definitely be stickin around the forums... so many nice people!

Damn! Terribly sorry to hear about your bike being stolen. I hate thieves!! :spank::spank::spank::spank::spank:

Thats crappy dude - too bad we never got to ride together with the FZs...what part of the GTA are you in? Crime is getting outa control in some parts of Toronto these days...I dont think I would own a bike without a garage. I dont even like leaving my car overnight on the street in this city. Just too many losers out there.

im moving to a new area and that was one thing i wanted, a personal garage. you never know when something like this is going to happen.

I'm at DVP & Lawrence... nice area (or it used to be) ever since they closed regent park and sent all the crackheads and idiots all over the city, it changed quite a bit. I'm honestly sick of this city and can't wait to get the hell out of here.

Yeah I hear you...this place just blows sometimes:banghead:

OMG that's too bad dude! Sorry to hear that your ride was taken.
Crappy deal man!

Best of luck with the new one

Oh man, so sorry to hear that FZ6Raven. That TOTALLY sucks. I'd be heartbroken if mine ever got stolen. Not because it isn't replaceable... but its my first, and I love her for sentimental reasons.

Have fun with the R6. And be careful!!

It was my first too... loved it... But now I have to move on. When I get the R6 i'll make sure to post up some pictures! Won't be for a little while tho unfortunately :(

Dude... That truly sucks. That is a crappy way to have to get a new bike. But I have to ask, why an R6? Why not another FZ6R?

I did love my 6R, don't get me wrong. Had a solid 10,500km with it in only 11 months. But i'm now looking for a little more power. I also love the more aggressive look the R6 has. Of course i'm going to take it easy and I don't plan on doing anything stupid. Will always love my first bike though!

Let me know what the difference is, I kind of want the R6 too for the power and aggressiveness, but right now I'm looking at the R6S where it isn't as powerful but will still get you in trouble.

That R6S is a good lookin' bike!!

If I wasn't dead-set on my next bike being a gixxer, I'd consider the R6S for sure. Of course, maybe I'll skip the 750 and go for a liter bike, but its going to be a while before that happens, so we'll see what else they come out with in the meantime ;)

Go west young man!
I'm in Kitchener-Waterloo, and it's not too bad for crime yet... Guelph is nice too... Dunno if you'd be willing to do that drive without a job relocation though.
