In the summer, the heat will make the gas in your tank expand. It needs a overflow so it doesn't crack or anything.Over the summer you'll notice vapors escaping and once in awhile a few drops of gas on the ground.small OPEN hose hanging right side towards bottom , what is it?

It is usually for when in hot direct sunlight. The tank gets hot, gas gets hot, pressure/fumes need to go somewhere.why on a bike vs car, because the tank is in direct sunlight ??
and do all bikes have this ?
what if ppl park in garage, does gas gradually build up and garage start to smell like gas, or is it just vapors ? or drip if left in direct sunlight ?
Mine never did in the garage only out in the sun (black bike). On cars or at least my truck it's at the top of the filler neck and returns directly to the tank. Had to replace mine a while back because a squirrel chewed through mine.why on a bike vs car, because the tank is in direct sunlight ??

You should have TWO hoses. One is gas, the other oil. If you've only one I'd be searching for the other...small OPEN hose hanging right side towards bottom , what is it?

Funny, this was the first question I asked myself after I bought the bike and was changing the oil. I scoured that owners manual, cause I swore I must have disconnected something by mistake getting the fairings off.small OPEN hose hanging right side towards bottom , what is it?
