It's easy as. All your doing is removing the small bolt that holds the lever to it's mounting bracket and swapping the lever itself, not the clamp that goes on the bars. All you need to be aware of is that some brands don't have enough free play between the lever and the brake cylinder so the front brakes can bind on. If that happens you just need to file down the spot on the lever that contacts the brake master cylinder.

Yup, I had problems with my shorties doing this. I filed it a little and voila. I only paid $40 or so so can't expect them to be perfect unless you're talking higher end levers.
