Haha that's funny. Honestly that's about what it's worth imo. I have one, I put up with it for almost 2 seasons and am finally fed up and getting something else(haven't settled on exactly what, though I'm leaning towards either a Bell RS-1 or a Shoei Qwest).
On the Scorpion, the air flow is "ok", it's on the loud side, and by far the worst part is that it's HEAVY(over 4lbs). When I bought it I liked the other features it came with(the drop down sun visor, the pump-up-able cheek pads, etc) so I just kinda dealt with that stuff in hopes that I would get used to the stuff I didn't like. I guess you could say I did since I kept is long as I did..... but I actually tried on a Shoei Qwest last week and when I felt the weight difference... OMG... How did I tolerate that thing!? Now I don't even wanna ride until I get a new lid lol(but I probably will).
To clarify, I'm not dogging on Scorpion as a brand, they make good stuff. In fact it is my understanding that the EXO-1100 fixed the issues I had with the 1000. If the 1100 were at that price I'd probably jump on it.
Haha, I understand I could be in the minority. I just provided my humble opinion based on my own experience with it. Honestly if the weight doesn't bother you then I wouldn't argue it's a nice helmet. But you'd be amazed at the difference between the weight of the 1000 and the Qwest(the 1000 is almost a pound heavier) when you put them on.
I ordered one about two months ago from the same place when they were around $30 more. It's an okay helmet. It's heavy and loud. I have an EXO-500 as well. The 500 is a little lighter and a little quieter.
When I tried on an RF-1100, I had to buy it because it honestly feels like it weighs half as much. It's a lot quieter and more comfortable for me too.
For $100, it makes a great second helmet or for a passenger.
