Brits call any type of spool a bobbin. Our rear spools are also called bobbins.Wow, that's quite the find! I had no idea those were called "bobbins" nor did I know that they were supposed to spin freely. I've always just assumed that they were stamped in and solid.
I'm off tomorrow and will be checking those. Thank you for that. Rep on the way.
I picked up a metric bolt & nut from my local ACE Hardware, I think it was 20-30 cents.Anyone try this already? I'm wondering what size bolt was used. I've bought two sizes out of bulk and still haven't found one small enough. Any smaller and I'm looking at having to buy boxes than individual out of bulk bins.
M6 bolt on stock rotors fyi... mine weren't bad, few turns and they were free
look up there!!!! lolAnyone try this already? I'm wondering what size bolt was used. I've bought two sizes out of bulk and still haven't found one small enough. Any smaller and I'm looking at having to buy boxes than individual out of bulk bins.
interesting, so you just have to make sure they slide in-out a bitThis is technique is OK for stock rotors, but if you have aftermarket rotors you need to be sure they're not square drive. As an example, if you have EBC X or XC series rotors, they have a square drive button that will not turn. Better to be sure than to mess something up.
Ah. I'm observant. :zombie:I bought a couple new sizes that should hopefully work.look up there!!!! lol
we had them in stock here at work, think it was about 30-40mm length
no no and no! just grab a big can of brake cleaner, you don't need to "lube" them, just clean out road gunk. What would you use to clean them? WD40?
Oh yeah duh, forgot it's also a lubricant. Thanks.no no and no! just grab a big can of brake cleaner, you don't need to "lube" them, just clean out road gunk.
