reversing down my driveway advice

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone might know more than I do about the way our brakes are set up. I have a very old narrow garage, which I have to reverse into it. I usually stop at the top of the driveway, switch the engine off, point the bike away from the garage door and, slowing, using the front disc, roll into my garage. (The driveway is roughly 20 ft long and paved and quite steep)

I'm wondering if this could cause damage to the pads, or disc. I'm aware the bike was not designed to brake it this way, but maybe its not hameful. I have no other option save leaving it outside with a cover on it.

Your brakes are very similar to a car or a quad.
Braking in reverse will have no effect on the brake system.
