I think that's a great idea... they should be hitting up dealers like Zilla, CycleGear, and MCSS for the larger pledges...

That's pretty sweet. What they talk about in the video never occurred to me. I mean, I know the bike decelerates/coasts differently than the car but I never gave any thought to how difficult it could be for a cager to see that difference when driving behind me. I think I might back them enough to get one of my own. Anything to help prevent a rear-end. However those lights don't look super bright for daytime use.

They shot it at my local Yamaha dealer. One of the worst rip-off shops on the planet, but looks really cool. Gotta charge lots and lots of "shipping" and "assembly" fees to justify a facility like that one...

Not quite sure it's legal. State laws about brake light modulators vary. But this isn't technically a brake light, so not sure what rules it would be covered by, if any. They don't say anything about that. Sounds like they put a lot of work into getting a primadonna designer, much less into figuring out whether you're likely to get a ticket for using it...

LOL. If a cop wanted to, they could give any single one of us a ticket for an aftermarket exhaust, FE with the plate facing down, Led front turn signals which don't light up constantly as OEM, different color LEDS on front of our bikes the list goes on. I know where you're coming from, but I really dont think a cop will bother giving out a ticket for this...

Ever since they put in traffic cameras around here the cops seem to be particularly focused on anything to do with license plates, frames, rear-firing lights next to the plate, etc. Thus my concern. Doesn't matter that Mythbusters proved that none of that stuff works, they'll take any excuse for nailing you on the "attempting to obscure the plate," offense. Unless you're a jerk about it, usually just a fix-it ticket, but still a pain.

Other than Beverly Hills, they don't seem to care about most of the rest.

I just backed the carbon fiber one. I hope they reach their goal. I've thought about getting similar products, but haven't found any that are implemented as well as this one seems to be.

Yesterday they added an option for a small module that you just wire to your existing brake or rear signals and it will stobe those instead of having to mount up a seperate piece. Good for those of us with fender eliminators. And it's only $69. Huh huh. Sixty nine. Uh huh huh.
