question on tank bags

Just remember... keep your "magnetic" tank bags away from your laptops.... magnets and hard drives do not mix!

That's actually funny, because I was looking on the Icon website for tankbags, and they have a bag that holds a laptop. They show the slot to put the laptop in. It's supposed to be one of those tankbags/backpacks. But thought I would share that since you shared your wisdom :D

I typically toe it into neutral just as I coast to the garage (I stop in front of the garage, shut it off, and push it in). I tapped the shifter, and saw the green light in my peripheral vision as I was lining up for my "stop" spot, and let out on the clutch...thinking I was in neutral. Turns out I wasn't in neutral...probably second. As I released the clutch, the bike surged...I wasn't expecting it, grabbed the front brake hard...and down I went.

I take it in tomorrow to get put back together.

OK...got it back today. Fairing has new paint, and they replaced the shifter and clutch handle. While they were wrenching on it, I had them install frame sliders and flush lights.

Only problem I see now is that the plastic panel above the main cowling on the left side doesn't seem to install "flush" like it did before I dropped it. I can't find any damage, but it's like playing whack-a-mole to get it to snap into place.

I may have to loosen the bolts on the cowling to see if there is something obstructing it or to see if the main cowling was tightened down a little crooked.

Pretty annoying.
