I am considering painting some of the silver parts on my black bike. I want to paint the silver foot pegs, shift levers, and most of the silver parts by the feet to make them accents. I want to paint them red. Do you think it would be worth it to bring it to an auto body place and have them do it or bring it to a place to have them bead blast it and spray paint it myself?

Your best bet is to get them powder coated. Durability will be much better.

EBAY!!!! YAY!!!

I have red accents on my bike but I painted nothing, everything is powder coated and I got everything off eBay! Here are a could pics just to give you an idea!

Those are anodized, not powdercoated.

Also, watch it with the stuff from Ebay, it's cheap, and the anodization is not very good. Most of it tends to fade relatively fast.

To the OP, get the stuff powdercoated, painting things like that is not going to last long.

pjparts.com and order yourself some rizoma pegs...3x better and lighter

One guy makes FE's for a good price and they come powder coated in different colors.

FZ6R RED FENDER ELIMINATOR | eBay

very easy to install and you can get them with front and back turn signals, or just the back, or no signals and hook up the stock ones to it. Stock signals are fugly tho IMO.
