On the cover of a magazine

The March, 2010 Motorcyclist magazine has a "sibling rivalry" comparison of the YZF-R6 and FZ6R (as well as three other same-make pairs). The cover pic is a blue R6 and a Raven (the fastest color, of course) 6R.

After that excitment, the article was a letdown: a completely predictable and rather pointless apples-to-oranges comparison. The authors (both racer types) found the FZ6R to be more comfortable, practical, and tractable, but picked the ($3,000 more expensive, "aggravating," and "uncomfortable") R6 as the winner for its performance. :surrender:

Oh well, they're the experts on what sells magazines.

Everyone knows yellow is faster. First rules of building a rice rocket... paint it yellow and put a wing on it... definitely increases speed!

Actually, Rice Rockets are more known to be drift cars. The fast cars are muscle cars! So the yellow is just showy....

Meanwhile... the blue... is as fast as the sky..

remember the rumors that started for brief bit that the Yellow was a built for stunter bike! Haaaa.

also yellow is indeed built better & more towards racing...remember the 50th anniversary speed block graphics...most of those bikes won alot of races....hahahahaha
