Picked up my first Yamaha on Saturday. FZ6R, white.
Now working on getting ergos right and accessorizing.
I'm in So. Cal. This is my first in-line 4, and I can't believe what I've been missing!
Started out on a Suzuki VS800, then went to a BMW F650GS (single) which I still have for now, and an R1200RT which is 3.5 years old and has over 70K miles.
I've never rode anything so smooth, all I can say is WOW.
I ordered some frame sliders, but need bar risers (I belong to the old folks club....well over 50 club). I just found out the tank is magnetic so I need to find a tank bag. Since my bike is plain white, it'll need some paint or detailing. Needs to have some wiring done for an powerlet outlet and heated gear, heated grips, etc. I know, you think I'm a sissy, but after you try heat, you'll never ride without it again.
If anyone has a good mechanic (not necessarily a dealer) in the Torrance, LB area, I'd like to hear about him/her.
