New Rider -- Helmet cracked?

Hi, I'm a new rider and I just bought a Shoei helmet from ebay.
The helmet is new ( at least smells like new ) but it has a very thin crack in the front/back both about 6 inches long.

What do you guys think ?

The is just on the painting btw.

should be ok. check on the inside to see the date when the helmet was made, helmets have a shelf life

Did you just buy a used helmet from the unknown source?
I don't think the head protection is where you can save money. But that's me.

If the price was right you can send to Shoei and they will check it for you.

I would not trust my head to a cracked helmet. Ever. If this was not disclosed in the sale, take pictures, file a claim through ebay and return for a refund.
