New Modifications

I purchased my first bike, a 2012 FZ6R Raven in November of last year and only got to ride it a short time before Winter. I am now in the process of the following modifications to be completed by April. I hope to post a picture or two when I'm finished. This is some of the most fun I've had in years!

Remove decals from tank and fairings.
Professionally repaint tank.
Tank pad
New Mirrors
Puig dark smoke racing windscreen
new grips
T-Rex frame sliders
Competition Werks FE kit
Decals of personal interest
New coat of wax!

Taking the tank to a bodyshop in on Monday to remove the decals and repaint.

I just got the tank back from the shop and wanted to possibly do the airbox mod before I reinstall. I've read the airbox thread in its entirety and am still not conviced it's good for the bike. Can I get a few more opinions? Thanks in advance!

im not sure what other options you are looking for.... its either you cut or you dont but my suggestion is dont completly cut out the bottom if you wish to go back you have some thing there to cover / patch.

Despite some minor concerns, I went ahead and modded the airbox the same way JT did. I've got it all put back together except for one piece. I will post pictures soon.

Worst case scenario, he cuts the bottom off and wants to go back. It's about $50.00 to replace the bottom portion of the airbox.
