Do you like it?

I just shelved my Shoei rf1000 (just under 3 years old) in favor of a Scorpion 400. Did not want to wait for the Arai Signet Q to come in to stores. For under $130 I figured I would give it a shot. My long oval head needed a change! So far seems okay. Aerodynamic enough (no head lift) and with a little break in, I suspect it will be super comfy. Out of the box, still more comfy for me than the Shoei or my wife's Arai Vector. Vector is super aerodynamic though...love it for that!

Hey, sammy brings up a good point.., how do we recycle old helmets? Is there even such a thing?

Donate them to your local emergency services. The red cross or other first aid groups.

They use them for training folk on how to deal with a motorcycle accident.

Some dealers also do deals, send in the cut chin straps of your old helmet and get a 25% discount voucher (think arai did this not long ago).

LOVE THE NEW HELMET>.. only had it on for about an hour but it feels great the build in sun visor is very nice.... the air pads feel great to. i upgraded from a scorpion 700.. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SCORPION 1100'S TO EVERYONE.... THEY HAVE A FEW DIFFERENT STYLES

I hear nothing but the best about the 1000 and 1100 scorpion series. The finish on that helmet is incredible

Got a steal of a deal on the same helmet! I'm loving it! It takes a little getting used to after my Exo 700 because it fits a little differently, but it is definitely much quieter. Only thing I'm having issues with though is the "air adjustable cheek pads" keep losing their fill. Have you had any issues with that?

Oh, and if you're thinking about getting this helmet and you are military, give helmetcity a call. They don't advertise it on their website, but they do offer a discount if you ask over the phone.

I wear the Exo 1000 myself, same features as the 1100 just a little different design (spoilers bolt on not molded in) and I LOVE it, they are down to 200$ shipped now and I do believe i'll be picking up another one this winter.

i had a pair of sunglasses on the other morning because i ride right into the rising sun and it worked fine
