looks awsome and everybody loves shoei's so I think youll love it as well
Any Shoei is a great helmet. Congrats on the nice lid..
Only thing about the X models though, just like the Corsair on Arai; they are made more for the racing full tuck position. So you will get better ventilation when you are tucking in than sitting up in the standard riding position. Should be good either way though!
Make sure you sit in the house with it on for about 45-60 minutes to verify no hotspots.. Just sit down and watch tv with it. The advised 15 minutes isnt always that great. Dont want to go out with the lid and find a hotspot after 30 minutes or so and now you cant return it because you wore it outside riding.

I miss my old Shoei Helmet. Their snug fit and quality material are worth the price.
Shoei makes a great helmet, had an RF-1000. I was debating on dropping the coin on an Arai and read somewhere that most people fit either Arai OR Shoei. When Royal started carrying the new vector-2 I tried on my size and instantly knew what they were talking about.

DAMN! An X-12!! Lightweight, serious racing helmet! Expect some major ventilation when fully tucked. With one caveat - fully tucked but above the windshield of the bike.
My personal experience, fully tucked sometimes puts me below the bike's windshield. No wind equals no ventilation.
I'd expect it to be noisy, wonderfully ventilated, lightweight and provide an awesome level of protection for the noggin. Still, it's meant to be a track helmet, utilized when the head is in a very aggressive riding position.
