Good Morning, Everyone.

I'm about 3 weeks into owning my brand new, 2013 Team Yamaha blue FZ6R. It is my second bike (had a Suzuki Intruder 800 many years ago, but never really got that into it) and I'm loving this thing, so far.

I'm also loving this forum, so far, but I fear that all of the ideas for modding will keep me broke.

I'm north of Atlanta, GA, and I'd love to meet up for some rides, especially with this perfect Spring weather.

Welcome, I agree this site has cost me a fortune but my bike rocks lol. I would have to disagree on the headlight, while its a nice mod certainly would not be my first but I guess it all depends on personality. Sliders should probably be first :) Seats would be a close second, the stock suck. The front signals most of us think looked kinda lame, Id get flushmounts and led strips in the scoops too, that's a cheap mod. the FE kits seems to be most popular as first mod, but if you ride in the rain a lot you might want to think about that one. Mirrors in another very popular one but I tried several pairs and nothing gives your the same vis as those stock rabbit ears. Battery tender cable to connect to phone charger, blue tooth helmet, new grips, gel stickers I could go on and on LOL Get your wallet out and let the mods begin!

Thanks, Guys.

I have frame sliders on the way--with my short legs, I worry about dropping it while moving it around :o

The headlight mod does seem a bit daunting for a noob like me, and I have been reading all the threads I can find on better looking signals. I haven't really seen any good pics of bikes with LED strips in the scoops, but I'm really interested in them.

I have not seen the HID projectors at night where they are supposed to make a huge difference but I rarely ride this bike at night. In the daytime I thought they would make you a lot more visible but they really don't. I am short too and did ever so gently lay it down when I first got it and sliders went on the next day, considered the lowering link many times but backing up is the only real pain. search dirt road custom seat for seat picts. Here is a picture of my LED in the scoops, you can also check out Scott Thomas who I stole this idea from. I also have the red strips running down the fairings on the front for looks not needed for signals.

That looks really sweet! I'll definitely put this on my list, as I"m with most everyone else in not liking the stock signals and mirrors. How are they mounted?

Thanks, i wish I could find the rear signals I bought to show you too.

The flush mounts or the strips? the flush mounts just have a like a plastic screw that goes through the existing holes and a plastic nut goes on back and keeps them tight. I liked those because they were a lot bigger than the ones that fit exactly in the hole. The strips (more likely what you were asking about) are just on there with some double sided outdoor tape. I cut it into a strip the exact same size as the LED strip and its been on almost a year now with tons of washes and no problems. The wires go back through the fake scoop, it was pretty easy.

Congrats on the purchase. and def some mods to sink some $$ into lol

speaking of Mods just ask JT as he has done about every single mod available :)
