good time to ask a couple questions...I have the extra exhaust,getting the funds together...do you have a business man cave or do you do it at your house (garage man cave),instead of shipping I would like to drop it off when my job takes me to boca raton and Deerfield beach,not sure about your policy on this...gary
No problem. Free (six pack) install for local. Just inbox me and we can plan. I usually use one of my core exhaust and do the swap. If you plan to get the package plan about 1 to 1 1/2 hr.
I was just wondering... If I come up with a DIY kit to mod exhaust, do you think that it would be interesting? Thinking a bit more for the people living out of States or DIYer.
I can come up with something simple to do. Might not be as good as with the collector set up but the reverse cone should still be good.
I will be working on making a map for the Danmoto shorty can very soon. (making sure it's optimum) and making a DBK combo that can work safely to run without a PCV, just like I did with the Viper can.

a DIY kit would be Sweet! considering I can cut and weld have all the tools in the garage... I would simply need your special 4x1 piece and some time in the garage.

Do you know of any fuel controllers that allow data logging? I have been doing some searches but have been coming up empty for our bike.
What I am thinking is that it would be nice to see:
elevation
air pressure
temperature (ambient air)
humidity
engine temp
rpm
speed
air/fuel ratio
and map setting
I am sure I am forgetting something but it would be nice to real world logging on how the engine is performing thinking that a downloadable sd card or micro sd car would be cool to.

With the PCV, Autotune and LCD-200 you can log about anything that is engine management. You can plug the speed sensor and PCV have 1 extra channel you can use (water temp or MAP sensor) I use the PLX map sensor.
The LCD-200 permit you to see what's going on in real time. It also has the ability to log data on a 1G SD card that you need to buy separately.
I used it to tune my bike. I also did 2 FZ8 base map (midship exhaust and R1 cam swap) and Chad FZ1. Without even seeing the bike. Only got the map and data by email and also rely on rider feedback.
In my book if you are going to throw $200+ on a Autotune... throw another one for the LCD-200. Autotune alone will do 75% of the job right... but the LDC-200 will cover pretty much the other 25%.
I will never attempt to own and tune a bike without those 3 things... I went to the dyno once and my bike was worst. Total waste of $150.00 in my book. Real life tuning is the way to go. Unless you can find a kick a$$ dyno tuner that you need to pay every time you start over again...
You can open the data with a simple Excel sheet (PITA) or for $25.00 you can download a software... That kind of look like on the picture. Logging at 0.1 sec data rate.

I sent Dobeck Performance a email asking about data logging.This will work for Juice Box owners as well.The Dobeck Performance A/F guages and fuel controllers DO NOT data log, but they recommended these A/F guages to people wanting data logging capabilities.

A little update on the Marthy-Danmoto tune. From my perspective the bike was responding really good. Nice sharp throttle response.
I already sold 3 Marthy Danmoto for the 6R. 2 of them with PCV and 1 without one. So far one customer says he notice a huge improvement over the old map. Even claim skipping the front wheel in 2nd!!!

Yes you're right.
In the left corner.... Marthy-Danmoto! Two Bro to the right.
I have to admit that the TB is quite nice... but not twice as nice $$$! Bang for the $$$ not because I make those but I'll get the Marthy for the same HP gain and better mapping. :iconbeer:
EDIT: By the way, the O2 plug on the Marthy-Danmoto is not standard. It was required to install the O2 sensor for the autotune.

Ok one more question... Your the engineer...
is it possible to shorten the exhaust by taking out the erased section in the attached picture?
I haven't liked how any of the exhaust tips stick way out past the swing arm... and was hoping to have an exhaust outlet close to where the stock one is...
I won't really help you there. The can alkost touch the frame already. With the Danmoto (shorter) the can doesn't stick out. Quite a nice fit actually. Danmoto didn't built that can from scratch but those dimension are custom made for Marthy Exhausts. FZ6R and FZ8, DBK include.
On my bike it does sound very aggressive with the cams and airbox mod. But on Cassandra's bike with a stock airbox it was just perfect. The bike run good with the zero map (no PCV) but even better once all tune (as expected) using the DBK. The mid range is incredible to be honest. Both map w or w/o DBK end up very nice. No flat spot and super sharp mid range. With the DBK I could feel the bike holding a bit at top end but w/o the DBK the bike zip all the way to 12K quite strong.
To be honest, if you painted her bike yellow and put some luggage on it... It would be really hard to tell a big difference between both bike.

Ugh post like these make me want to get one so bad lol..I'm trying to hold off until winter to get new parts and such for the bike lol. How much does everything run through you Marty?
