Man from savage dead, same day as fun run

SHAKOPEE, Minn. -- A Savage man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle in the south metro on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. The State Patrol says the driver, Kimsour Heng, 53, lost control on the County Road 18 ramp onto southbound Highway 169 and struck a guard rail.

Heng died at the scene.

UPDATE:

He was the only person involved. He hit a guardrail while trying to enter southbound Hwy. 169 in Shakopee about 3:30 p.m., according to the patrol. He was wearing a helmet.

No alcohol was found in his system, according to the patrol.
