Hey guys, I bought a 2012 model couple days ago. I also bought the lowering kit and kickstand from soupy performance to accomadate the new height. After a lot of searching I couldn't find any actual steps to show how to lower the front and the back of the bike. Can someone who has done this before give me some guidance? I'm a noob when it comes to motorcycle and would be really appreicated if some could help me out.

First off, welcome. You will find lots of friendly and informative help here. That being said, the search box is your friend. You can generally find all of your answers there first. Not trying to be a jerk; just trying to inform.

In regards to assistance, check these out:

Hope that helped. Once again welcome!

Welcome - I have not lowerd the rear but I have lowerd the front. basicly all you have to do is lossend the front fork clamps and let it slide down the desierd ammount. read thru the previous post and links that are provided above

Be sure to have something to support the weight on the front end when doing this. I made the mistake of not doing that and watched the forks slide ALL the way down. Trust me it's MUCH easier to lower the forks than raise them.

thanks guys, especially TokenSSDD for taking the time to find those posts. they are exactly what i needed. I'll look over them couple times to make sure i do it right.

If you do one fork at a time you won't have that problem.
