So after a lot of rereading, I decided to lower the front end of my fz6r and install woodcraft clipons, now i cant seem to find how much to lower it to fit the clip ons, what should it be set to?
I think I dropped mine 1.7 inches to accommodate my clip ons. The clamp is 1.5 inches or just over so I lowered to 1.7 inches. My clamp comes right to the top of my fork.So after a lot of rereading, I decided to lower the front end of my fz6r and install woodcraft clipons, now i cant seem to find how much to lower it to fit the clip ons, what should it be set to?
Yes, lowering does. It is not recommended to lower that much, but people dont seem to have problems when they do it to add the clip ons. Our bikes are not as drastic as a full on super sport, so maybe there is room for that extra drop.does lowering the front with out using clip-ons improve the turn in? or is the more aggressive position that the clip-ons offer what is improving the turn in. and once lowered, is the bike still stable for flat slab cruising? .
