Hi, just wondering if anyone is selling a Power commander, I am located in Sydney Australia.
Also does anyone have access to Marthys maps or able to email them to me as his website is now offline, cheers.
The power commander website has some good base maps, and now they have an app to tweak the PCV with your phone. I am going to try the phone thing today so I can report back.
it's not a separate sensor, it's a tap into the speed sensor already on the bike, but I'd have to dig around to find which wire it was as I don't have mine any more
The speed sensor is a 3 wire sensor in line with the output shaft of the transmission. The blue and black wires are ground and power. You tap the other one which is output from the sensor. Find the sensor and trace it back. Try not to tap it where moisture off the tire is present. Get up under the tank.
The Bazza Z-FI unit I have only used one tap and that was for Nuetral indicator, a single wire. Everything else plugs in direct.
The power commander bypasses your bikes stock ECU and allows you to select or make better fuel maps. Different exhausts and other engine changes will affect how your bike receives and burns fuel. The PC5 can custom map your fuel to get the most out of your modifications. Tuning properly can add some hp, but probably negligible if you don't add a full exhaust or cams, etc.
At least that my understanding of the purpose of the PC5. Someone else may have a more precise answer (Marthy).
