I just finished with this same mod and I log on to the forum to post pics and see this recent thread lmfao. Check mine out simple mod with all stock parts no custom work

Not to be too critical JT, but yours seems to be angled down as well as inward? That seems weird to me. I also like the rounding of acomeaux's. So of the two, I like his better. Sorry. His just seems to blend in with his bike, whereas yours I feel like it's waiting to be ripped off of there like a hangnail.

Quickest way to get a ticket around here, the plate cannot be sideways and you get a non-fightable improper display ticket.. i wanted one but screw paying fines lol
I was not to happy with it myself. Not sure what else to do other that put it back w the fender eliminator

Hmmm... Cool design, but not my style. I plan on using a wee bit of the wedding money we just got to get the integrated tail light and the fender eliminator plate holder. 
I was gonna do a style like that on my Honda Shadow when I planned on bobbing it out, but I never had the time/money/tools and ended up having to sell it.

Can you maybe heat it up with a torch and bend it however you want it?
Not a bad idea. I'll give it a shot if all else fails I will just go back to my fender eliminator plate holder

I've never really been a fan of putting the plate along the side of the bike like that as it just doesn't make the bike look clean..... However! If it makes you happy then that is all that matters! :thumbup:
I think another disadvantage would be the increase in wind resistance. It's like a mini parachute next to your wheel.

Apart from the standard fender eliminator does anyone have any innovative ways to install the lic plate on our bike?
Well that is innovative for sure, but it is illegal since there are no lights. Lol

I posted this on FB already, but figured I'd post here too in case not everyone is on there. $8 plastic Yamaha plate frame I found off Amazon.com. Cheap plastic, but looks not too bad, I think.
Here's what it looks like installed... (Click to enlarge) I layered black electrical tape on top of double-sided tape to fill in the two holes on the bottom, because the angle that the plate mounts wouldn't allow for a nice, flush install of 2 separate screws without warping the plate...
