i had to adjust my thottle play ... i adjusted it to about 2mm and the tension was to hard to pull on the spring.. so i adjusted it back out to 4 or 5mm and the twisting of the thottle is better now.

What kind of fuel are you running? I know most people say it doesn't matter, but many people I know run premium - especially during the break in period. Me, I ran premium and nothing but - never had the lag problem unless the bike wasn't warmed up (i.e. cold warning still on display).Has anyone else noticed a little lag in the throttle response? Maybe it's just going to take some getting used to, but it seems that when I roll on the throttle there is a definite noticeable lag, or drop/gap in engine response. Don't know if it's just my bike, or if it's a common problem. Anyone?
The only time I did notice that is on a cold engine. Personally I never take off with the engine temp bellow 160F, and easy on it until it reach 180-190F. Those engine have a heat exchanger (the water warm up oil, or cool it at the same time) ON a Indy car engine, we need to pre heat the water and oil. We can't start the engine if the oil temp is below 36C. I have some friend that did warm up the oil in the oil tank only but didn't circulate the oil from the engine and oil cooler. So when they start the brand new engine the temps went down to 34C. Honda engineer had them pull the engine out for rebuild!
Bike engine are not that picky, but It's a very hight performance engine compare to any car engine. Just deserve a bit more attention and care...

Double check it with the steering turn all the way left and right. It change a little.
