My father has a 1993 Silverado and it's still running strong! It's only been in the shop once for an A/C fix, so not bad for 20 years. He has kept up with the routine preventive maintenance.

2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 here, always helping others with my red beast. Chevy won't let you down as long as they worked out all the bugs in the dash cluster. My truck has electronic issues w/dash cluster.

2001 Silverado 1500 4X4 here.

Owned it since 0 miles and have 220,000 on it now. She still fires right up and runs nice and smooth.

My company has 3 of the 2008 standard 1500's with extended cab. They haven't been as lucky. All three have had rear end issues, one had to have several lifters replaced and 2 of them the speakers went out. All but the front tweeters.

Dont tranny flush it and it will work like a dream. Drain, replace filter, Fill.
