Hey all,

It is with sadness that I say I may be leaving the FZ6R family. :( I've had lots of fun on her, but I found a great deal on a 07 ZX6R that I just cannot pass up. I'm supposed to finalize the deal tomorrow and will be picking up the other bike tomorrow evening. Hope the new owner has as much fun on my baby as I did. Will see you guys around. Ride safe!

Cool beans, yeah a lot of peeps move on to SS's, but we seem to stick round here cause lots of cool people on here. Post up a pic when you get it.

Congrats! Just b'cuz u upgrade doesn't mean u have to leave our community. :)

Btw, bike insurance goes down after 3 years and how much u ride annually, I noticed. If u keep it under 6000 miles per year then it's not too bad. It's more expensive if u commute with it- not to mention more dangerous.

I'm lucky that wa state does not require insurance on a bike, considering I roll with a sr-22 endorsement on my vehicle insurance, I'm pretty sure I would get raped for insurance on the r1

Well my cousin bought a 06 gsxr 1000 back in 2006 and without even making his first payment he totaled it. Got stuck with the bill. I do not commute my bike and I know about 40 ss riders personally and maybe 10% have insurance cuz they financed through a credit union. The rest ride with no insurance.

So what happens if you crash or damage someones property or hurt a passenger on your bike? You'll have to come completely out of pocket??

It makes great sense to have insurance but I got my dui cuz of a busted tailight. I blew a .083 the legal limit is .08 and after that , I got a changed attitude towards the po po. So my insurance sky rocketed, I paid 6 k for an attorney . And almost lost my job cuz I have to drive. So I'm glad I don't have to legally have insurance on my bike

Lucky your state doesnt require it? If you cant afford the insurance, you cant afford the bike, plain and simple. RIding without insurance is the dumbest
f-u c k i n-g idea.....totaled bike....medical bills.....damaging someone elses property.....unbelievable some people have this logic. Take a second, breath, and get some o2 back in your brain and rethink your logic.

Right because the fact you got a dui for being over the legal limit was the cops fault? You drank. You drove. Simple program.

And the fact you don't have to have insurance.....has no connection to your stupid inconsiderate selfish decision to drive after drinking.

Wow crazy kawi, ur a piece of crap, who are you to talk to me like that. k. The law is clear, you do not need insurance therefore its your choice. It rains 9 out of 12 months people do not ride their bikes that often. That is the reason we don't have insurance. And the dui, I got because I blew over the limit, I am aware of that. Was I drunk? I was not but sure its debateable.

Bike insurance is different , I have car insurance obviously and I'm all for insurance when its reasonable. But wa state does not require it so people do not have it. Its that simple. Pay out of pocket for your mistake. Its that simple.

Well lets just end this one right here...

Lets chill on the name calling on both sides. No need for personal attacks, etc.

And seeing how we are massively off track of the OP...
