Installed my seat cowl and tinted windshield.

Got my parts yesterday and installed them. I am a little disappointed in the seat cowl. For 200 bucks, Yamaha should have made it pre-assembled and ready to hot-swap with the rear seat. Instead, you have to install a few little parts onto it and take the latch from the seat off and put it on the seat cowl. Otherwise, it looks pretty good. I just wish it was larger....like taller. The front windshield is really cool looking. It is about an inch shorter than the stock one though, but I didn't feel any difference in wind.

DUDE!! that looks good!!! is there some different mirrors you can get for it?I'm not knockin on your bike but in the picture they remind me of rabbit ear t.v. antena.maybe it's just the angle of the camera.

i thought the same thing.. then i remembered that our bikes have that same issue.. you just get used to it... or buy new ones and hope they fit/loook right..

but come on.. who doesnt like that look

Yeah I wish there were some replacements available. Once I find something cool, the rabbit ears will definitely go.

Nope. You can still do it, but you need some tools to remove the latch from the seat cowl as well as two tiny little rubber things and move them back to the rear seat.

I think its lame that Yamaha did not include its own latch and rubber pieces.

Mods look great!! Without seeing in person, I think the seat cowl looks good the way it is; does not look to small from pictures.

I ordered my Cadmium Yellow cowl and the half smoked (they call it clear) windshield last night. I'm going to get my bud Joe from Speed & Sport to order the pieces it'll take to complete the seat to make it an easy changeover.

make sure you post up some pictures... ill be honest that the fz6r looks are not my taste, but a few mods to change the look and im liking it more and more...

I'll be sure to post some pics, but the ones that MNDZA posted will be hard to top. The only major difference will be the color and the windscreen being half smoked. I'll also post the prices for the parts needed to complete the seat.

its not that its the same.. others like to see different colors.. just cuz it looks good on the blue one doesnt mean it will on a white, see what i mean..besides, looking at text the whole time on the forum gets real boring

Will do Tractorboy. I can't wait to get them installed. I wonder how long it will take to get the pieces for the seat to make changovers easy. I'll bet the parts have to come from Japan, but I hope not.
