I Got Creative Last Night

Well, I found myself with some time on my hands, a few beers in my system, and still high on caffeine at the same time; so I sat down with my sketch pencil and some random pad of paper (hence the fishing stuff around the borders) and sketched out a font-type idea for the forum logos. Here it is:

The fishing stuff is part of the paper pad, not something I drew. I just sketched the font-face since I haven't really seen anything similar. I might have to play with fontforge to see if I can't make the font. The period is supposed to be the Yamaha logo, but being a sketch, I didn't go into too much detail on it.

Had me going there. I was thinking "Damn, Flyboy got skills".

I have almost no talent for drawing. My mother kicks much ass in that art form though.

Your not the only one! I've been a member since June 2010 and that damn Bug has been killing me ever since! lol it always gets me!

Who would have the power to change the forum? as far as a face lift etc.. That would be cool if someone here had a graphic design back ground to pimp out the site

That would be Dennis (Admin). He is the site owner/creator and the only administrator with the power to greatly alter the look/layout of the site.

I think we could also use a new picture for the banner at the tope of the site. That stock photo is fine, but I think one of those pics of Jon from the t-shirt contest would be better. Combine that with flyboy's idea and BAM! Custom and cool banner.

haha Well, I think Jon would have to ask permission again! But I agree. We could make this site look pretty awesome. Obviously pending the site owner's approval etc... Redo the banner make it more appealing to people. (not that I hate it, but I think it could use an upgrade)

Look what happen when one person brought up the idea for t-shirts BAM! we have t-shirts!

I've actually been thinking about playing with banners. The idea in my head has four FZ6R's in sort of a fan, with the four bikes in the four basic colors they've come in (blue, yellow, white, black). Or one bike, split four times to show parts of it in the different colors.

I sent a PM to Admin.. asking if it was a possibility to do a forum face lift. We will see. If it's a go I'll start a thread for member Ideas etc.. I think we could really make this forum pop!

I checkout other forums from time to time and see some really cool/different emoticons.

We need an upgrade.
